About

Hello! My name is Nick and I’m a data scientist.

I graduated from Yale University in 2021 with a degree in physics and a certificate in statistics and data science. While at Yale, I modeled the hydroclimate of Saturn’s moon Titan, discovered my passion for machine learning and software, contributed to a number of scientific publications, and helped found the Yale Undergraduate Research Journal, which showcases undergraduate research across all academic fields.

I am currently enrolled in the Georgia Institute of Technology’s master’s program in Analytics, with a specialization in Computational Data Science. Between Yale and Georgia Tech, I have completed course work in the following domains: computational data analysis, machine learning and data mining, artificial intelligence, algorithms, supervised and unsupervised modeling, multivariate statistics, probability theory, business data analytics, quantum mechanics, statistical mechanics, and electromagnetism.

I work in Austin, Texas as a data scientist within the Advanced Analytics group at General Motors, where I have contributed to projects leveraging LSTM Autoencoder neural networks, survival analysis, and linear regression. I have experience in software engineering and business intelligence, and my interests encompass finance, politics and policy, the future of clean energy and transportation, and sports analytics. My skill set includes proficiency in Python, R and SQL, as well as project leadership and a range of machine learning methodologies.

This site is meant to serve as a way to collect and share my data science interests and personal research projects in one place. You’ll find investigations of election fraud, climate simulations of Saturnian moons, COVID-19 transmission models, treatises on string theory, and more.
